Brocade says that its IP networking technologies have been validated for interoperability with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2. According to the news release on Market Watch, this validation helps provide customers with the assurance that Brocade's high-performance networking technologies can withstand the rigorous networking demands required for the reliable delivery of business communications, including presence, instant messaging, video, conferencing and voice.


"In conjunction with this, Brocade has published a Deployment Guide to help customers deploy Brocade networks with Office Communications Server 2007 R2 for optimal performance. Implemented as part of an Office Communications Server 2007 R2 deployment, Brocade's networking technologies provide the critical networking infrastructure to support both data and voice/video traffic for a wide range of unified communications configurations.

"Microsoft conducted testing processes to validate networking infrastructure technologies that can maximize the performance of applications running on Office Communications Server 2007 R2. The Brocade networking solution for Office Communications Server 2007 R2 is comprised of core, access, and edge Ethernet switches, wireless products, load balancing and application delivery controllers, and network management capabilities and includes a rich set of features to help ensure a high-quality UC deployment."
