An article on USA Today's website argues that net neutrality rules would have a negative impact on the quality of mobile Internet services. According to the piece, network management enhances the mobile Internet experience by making calls clearer, loading websites faster, and playing videos more smoothly. Effective management will become even more important in the coming years as data usage continues to increase.


"With data usage expected to increase at least 40 times over the next four years, management becomes even more important. U.S. wireless consumers are enjoying incredible access to Web content wherever you are, whenever you want. With new higher speed networks, new innovative handsets and new applications already being launched, the future looks bright. But that light dims if we can't avoid unnecessary and burdensome net neutrality rules, and if we don't identify new blocks of spectrum for wireless use."
