MRV Releases New Version of Pro-Vision

The updated software allows admins to provision Ethernet services through improved performance monitoring.

Trading Markets.com recently reported on the release of Pro-Vision software version 1.7 by MRV Communications. With its improved performance monitoring capability and ability to discover devices automatically, the updated software will enhance Ethernet services provided by operators. The software also allows individual service profile components to be pre-defined and permits interconnection between the operation support systems of vendors and service providers.

"'The updated Pro-Vision software enables service providers to handle everyday network management and service provisioning routines,' said Mary Jane Gruninger, optical communications systems president at MRV. 'Service provisioning is faster and easier and offers rapid service delivery combined with service visibility. The enhanced functionality strengthens Pro-Vision's positioning as a Carrier Ethernet service provisioning and management platform.'"
