Juniper Networks has recently launched what the company calls an "open cross-networking solution" to help customers deploy a common network management platform and operating system to reduce expenses. As reported on Business World Online, Sanjiv Verma, Juniper director for enterprise and channel sales said that the new solution is in partnership with Dell's PowerConnect brand through an OEM agreement.

"'Juniper and Dell are a formidable team, and together we can deliver value for enterprise customers. The intention of this solution is to deliver a secure network infrastructure from a traditional data center out of its branch offices, remote workers, customers and business partners,'' he said.

"He added: 'The key value proposition of a good networking solution is something that can give the client the total cost of ownership, high performance, flexibility and the choice to optimize data center operations, improving efficiency.'"
