HOB Debuts New Version of Its SSL-VPN Solution
The browser-based remote access software offers expanded security and an upgraded reporting dashboard.
HOB Inc. announced the release of the enhanced version of its browser-based secure remote access software HOB Remote Desktop VPN 1.4. Offering expanded security functionality, an upgraded reporting dashboard and additional platform support, the HOB RD VPN replaces the classical, locally installed IPSec VPN client by providing complete network access through the HOB PPP Tunnel. As reported on Benzinga, this newest version of HOB RD VPN is bundled with a solution which offers full network access and is compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista, Linus, Solaris, Max OS X and FreeBSD.
"'With security always top of mind, we have upgraded our platform on many fronts to meet the needs of our customers,' explained HOB's CEO Klaus Brandstätter. 'Specifically, with the new HOB RD VPN, authentication is made using a user ID and password, tokens or certificates on SmartCards -- meeting the strictest demands on IT security. Plus, we've overhauled our reporting dashboard and now support additional platforms.'"
