China calls for increased efforts to safeguard network security.

As reported on istock Management, Qian Xiaoqian, vice director of the State Council's Information Office appealed on behalf of China, for increased international efforts to safeguard network security. The appeal was made at the Fourth U.S.-China Internet Industry Forum during the opening ceremony. The Chinese government's opposition to network attacks was noted by Qian Xiaoqian.


"'As different social and cultural traditions exist in different countries, we fully respect the various concerns of each country. Our goal is to find common ground to cooperate to fight cyber crime while safeguarding network security,' he added."
