Research: Enterprise Network Security Needs Intensified

Global enterprise network and data security market value to exceed $10B by 2016.

ABI Research's latest global enterprise network and data security market forecasts show that the value of the overall market, which includes secure routers, unified threat management (UTM) appliances, firewalls, virtual private networks (VPN), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network access control (NAC), is set to exceed $10 billion by 2016. As reported on Business Wire, the market showed remarkable resilience and spending recovery to register 11 per cent growth to more than $6 billion in 2010. Enterprise security needs have intensified due to a growing diversity of threats resulting from changes in enterprise information systems and access technologies.
