It has been suggested that the cost of migrating to IPv6 from IPv4 may be slowing down businesses from making the move to the cloud. Although it has become an increasingly important priority for businesses' IT departments, reports Sage Construction, moving to IPv6 needs to take precedence.

"'The significant cost of IPv6 may well see a reallocation of resources away from placing data into the cloud,' computing.co.uk quotes Mr Pleier as saying. Mr Tucker added that a delay in cloud migration because of IPv6 was certainly 'a possibility'".
