Comcast Joins the World IPv6 Day Cast

Big names plan to participate in 24-hour trial.

Comcast has joined the cast of other organizations taking part in World IPv6 Day, June 8. This 24-hour trial of the next-generation IPv6 internet protocol is the first of its kind on a global scale, according to E Money Daily. Google, Yahoo, and Facebook are also participating in this trial.


"John Brzozowski, chief architect for IPv6 and distinguished engineer at Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) said, ‘World IPv6 Day is important to further the deployment and widespread enablement of IPv6. Being able to test our infrastructure at scale and verify our customers’ experience is essential to seamless enablement.’”
