New Networking System Unveiled By Juniper

QFabric competes with Cisco.

Juniper’s unveiling of its networking system QFabric, steps up the competition with Cisco Systems. WSJ reports that this new product line was known as “Project Stratus” previously and Juniper claims QFabric uses a more direct connection scheme called a networking fabric.


"’Cisco has amassed 10,000 customers for its Nexus Unified Fabric networking platform [Cisco's latest line of data-center switches] in the time it has taken Juniper to get QFabric in to test with its first customer,’ said John McCool, senior vice president of Cisco's data-center business.”
