Mobile Active Defense announced that it has been included in the list of "Cool Vendors" in the Cool Vendors in Enterprise Mobility, 2011 report by Gartner, Inc. This announcement on PR USA highlights M.A.D.'s Mobile Enterprise Compliance and Security (MECS) server solution which implements stringent controls that can not be defeated by the employee. MECS extends existing enterprise and network security policies across mobile platforms with complete encryption, Geo-Location and granular firewall controls.

"Winn Schwartau, Chairman of M.A.D. Partners, LLC, commented on the honor of being selected for this report by saying that: ‘First, this is truly cool! Secondly and most importantly, the way we protect the mobile end point has to change in light of today's adoption of the various smartphone and table devices that are infiltrating Enterprises. M.A.D. offers the only solution for mobile devices to overcome both the inherent weaknesses of MDM on Apple iOS and the Android platform and traditional sandbox security solutions on the device that do not scale for mobile platforms. Leapfrogging the outdated sandbox security approach, enabling employees to use their devices with native capabilities, and not changing the user experience = very cool.’"
