Sony's $170M Network Hack

PlayStation Network breach adds financial stress to company wracked with woes.

Japanese electronics giant Sony says the recent network security breach through the PlayStation Network will cost them $170 million. According to Pocket Lint, the company’s forecast result for its annual report is closer to $3.2 billion taking into consideration the disasters that have plagued the country.

"It's not likely that Sony will be back to its A game in terms of revenue for a while either - its woes just in terms of the PSN are far from over; only last week Pocket-lint reported how an exploit had been found on the password reset system.”
