In 2013 JR Rivers helped to co-found Cumulus Networks and until recently has served as the company's CEO. Rivers is now transitioning to the role of CTO as Josh Leslie takes on the role of CEO, with a mission to drive the company's business goals forward.

In an exclusive video interview with Enterprise Networking Planet, Rivers details why he decided to transition into the new role and what it means for the company. He also provides some insight into what's next on the product roadmap, including a new version of Cumulus Linux. The new Cumulus Linux 3 is a rebasing to the latest Debian Linux release, with the addition of the Btrfs filesystem providing powerful snapshotting and rollback capabilities.
