DoE Grants $92 Million in ARPA-E Funding

The U.S. Department of Energy has selected 43 research projects to receive some $92 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through the Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy.

The U.S. Department of Energy has selected 43 research projects to receive some $92 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through the Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy.

The projects focus on grid-scale energy storage, advanced power electronics and efficient cooling systems, all of which are considered critical toward building a new energy future, according to The White House Blog. The $92 million completes a three-round $349 million investment by the DoE to spur innovation in energy generation, storage and use, says DatacenterDynamics.
