Google is considering setting up a data center in India, reports DNA. The company is said to be in talks with Cisco Systems for connectivity technologies for the data center. A Google India spokesperson said the company "doesn't comment on speculation."

Growth in India has prompted Wikipedia to consider building a second data center. In an interview with Tech2.com India, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales spoke of the company's goal to have at least 100,000 articles in the top 10 Indian languages and the need to set up a second office in the BRIC nation.
