Hosting.com retrofitted a former Model T factory in Denver to house a 30,000-square-foot data center. The modification is just the latest example of a former factory or industrial facility allowing the new economy to operate in the footprint of an older one, says Data Center Knowledge.

The building's structural integrity, central location within the Denver metropolitan area, and nearly 14 megawatts of installed power made the facility ideal for the company's needs, says Hosting.com chief operating officer Joel Daly.
