Michael Capellas Appointed Head of Acadia

Cisco Systems and EMC named Michael Capellas to head Acadia, their joint venture, aimed in part at promoting cloud computing to business clients.

Cisco Systems and EMC named Michael Capellas to head Acadia, their joint venture, aimed in part at promoting cloud computing to business clients. According to GigaOM, Capellas will also lead Cisco and EMC's Virtual Computing Environment coalition.

The VCE coalition has already secured 45 partners and six systems integrators that currently sell Vblock, its pre-integrated, pre-tested packages for virtualized data centers, according to InformationWeek. The companies have another 200 partners in the certification phase.
