Pano Logic announced the Pano System 4, a next-generation zero client desktop virtualization device that promises simplicity, security and minimal energy usage, according to InformationWeek. The desktop virtualization solution supports Citrix XenDesktop, Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/View interchangeably and can interoperate within each platform's management systems.

In addition to its new software, Pano Logic also updated its Pano Device endpoint, which is used to access virtual desktop sessions with support for streaming media, reports V3.co.uk. Pano System 4, which is available immediately, costs $389 per seat and includes the Pano Device endpoint and Pano Manager server software.
