Wyoming Looking to Become Data Center Territory
Wyoming is looking to lure data center companies with $14.5 million.
Freudenthal is looking to land $14.5 million to go toward the recruitment efforts of these projects, says DatacenterDynamics. According to the governor:
We're in a good position to attract these facilities because of our resources like abundant, low-cost power and the Wyoming climate with its low humidity and low temperatures, but that's just not enough. This funding will make Wyoming more competitive and improve our position as we compete to recruit mega-data centers to the state.
Wyoming's Governor-elect Matt Mead, concurred with Freudenthal, adding:
