LAS VEGAS. Every year at the Interop Las Vegas conference, the equivalent of a small data center is set up and then torn down. At the Interop 2015 event, Glenn Evans, Lead Engineer of the InteropNet, gave Enterprise Networking Planet a guided tour of the racks and the Network Operations Center (NOC) that powers the big networking show.

The core racks that run the event bring in two 1 Gbps links from CenturyLink that terminate on Cisco ASR1000 boxes.

As part of Interop Labs, the show this year is demonstrating Software Defined Networking (SDN) implementations from multiple vendors, including open-source implementations.
