Verio Claims 30 to 40 Percent Savings with IP VPN Service
Verio claims its new IP VPN service will save companies 30 to 40 percent over traditional frame-relay or leased-line services, and guarantees low latency and packet loss to boot.
Verio has announced the release of an IP VPN service the company claims will save enterprises 30 to 40 percent of the cost of traditional frame-relay or leased-line services.
The NTT/VERIO Global IP Security Gateway is a network-based IP VPN service with gateways located in Europe, Asia and the United States built on the NTT/VERIO Global IP Network. Depending on the configuration, prices start at $400 a month.
The service features end-to-end encryption using IPSec, and service level agreements that include 0.3 percent packet loss, and 60 ms latency in America, 90 ms latency trans-Atlantic and 130 ms latency trans-Pacific guarantees.
The NTT/VERIO Global IP Security Gateway will be introduced in 22 cities in the United States, and worldwide locations, including Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the UK, Indonesia, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Spain. Other countries will be added in the future.
