Juniper Networks has announced four new SSL VPN appliances aimed at a range of businesses from SMEs to large enterprises.

In a statement, the company said the Secure Access (SA) 700, 2000, 4000 and 6000 appliances use its Instant Virtual Extranet (IVE) software to provide clientless VPN access.

The company said the SA 6000 includes dual redundant hot-swappable hard disks with real-time data mirroring, and also includes multiple GBIC-based Ethernet ports. It also includes SSL acceleration hardware with RC4, 3DES and AES encryption, and contains built-in compression capabilities for all traffic.

The SA 4000 offers a license-based SSL acceleration chipset, while the SA 2000 is aimed at mid-sized enterprise deployments. The SA 700 is a new small-to-medium enterprise (SME) platform with application-layer functionality.

All four appliances are available for sale. Pricing starts at $2,495 for the SA 700 with 10 concurrent users, $6,995 for the SA 2000 with 25 concurrent users, $15,995 for the SA 4000 with 50 concurrent users, and $33,995 for the SA 6000 with 100 concurrent users.
