Tripwire Inc. has announced that it will deliver their data and network integrity (DNI) solution, Tripwire for Servers, for Compaq Computer Corporation's Tru64 UNIX software operating system. The software solution provides rapid detection, scoping, and remediation of inappropriate, malicious or accidental changes to data on servers.

Tripwire for Servers now supports Compaq Tru64 UNIX versions 4.0F, 4.0G, 5.0A, 5.1 and 5.1A. Tripwire will work with Compaq to create and deliver more integrated security and integrity solutions to Tru64 UNIX customers. By working together, the two companies will provide customers with Defense in Depth and help reduce total cost of ownership on Compaq Tru64 UNIX-based AlphaServer systems.

In addition, a free 30-day evaluation of Tripwire for Servers is available on Compaq's Internet Express Version 5.7 CD, a collection of open source Internet software and administration software developed by Compaq, shipped beginning November 21, 2001. The CD is included with every Compaq Tru64 UNIX AlphaServer system. Customers who purchase a service contract for Internet Express will receive a new CD approximately every four months.

A free 90-day evaluation of Tripwire for Servers will also be available for Compaq Business Partners on a CD promotional demo sampler pack that will be distributed to Compaq customers via direct mail, at trade events, and through other means.

Tripwire for Servers is intended to assure the integrity and security of data by notifying users if, when, and how files have changed. The software helps to ensure maximum system uptime by pinpointing the exact location and nature of change. Discovery of compromised data can happen in minutes, enabling fast and efficient remediation.
