A key feature of Virtual Privilege Manager is a privilege password management option.CA Technologies has launched a software tool that secures user privileged access to a virtual environment and monitors user activity.

According to V3.co.uk, a key feature of Virtual Privilege Manager is a privilege password management option. It allows users to check out one-time passwords, that can then be manually or automatically checked in, to access the virtual environment.

CA also says the product secures the hypervisor service console by limiting the rights of privileged users and eliminating the shared accounts on the hypervisor service console.

Says Birendra Gosai, principal product marketing manager at CA Technologies:

The use of virtual environments allows organizations to utilize resources to help business continuity and cut costs. Virtual Privilege Manager bolsters security, while helping to maintain the segregation of duty roles.

Virtual Privilege Manager runs $699 per CPU when bought independently.
