According to Computerworld, administrators can now scan dozens of computers at a time for Stuxnet thanks to a new free tool from Trend Micro.

Trend Micro's security products already detect Stuxnet, but this tool allows other people not using its products to detect the malware. As the article explains:

The Stuxnet tool can scan all computers within a specific Internet Protocol range. To find the malware, the tool transmits spoofed packets that are similar to the packets sent by the two or three Stuxnet variants. If Stuxnet is present, it will respond to the spoofed packets.

As we have reported on our IT Business Edge site, Siemens first warned of the worm in July. Stuxnet exploits four zero-day vulnerabilities in Windows in an effort to infect industrial control systems. With the largest number of infections occuring in Iran, it is now believed that the worm was created to disrupt the country's uranium enrichment efforts.
