Imperva Offers List of 10 Worst Passwords

"123456" is one of the commonly used passwords discovered in an analysis of the RockYou attack.

Imperva has analyzed the recent attack on the Web site RockYou to come up with a list of the worst passwords, reports The Huffington Post. The top 10 most commonly used passwords were:

  1. 123456
  2. 12345
  3. 123456789
  4. Password
  5. iloveyou
  6. princess
  7. rockyou
  8. 1234567
  9. 12345678
  10. abc123

IT Business Edge blogger Paul Mah offers a simple password guide. Mah says the secret number for a secure password is 12 characters. He also advocates never writing down your passwords and never using the same password for personal and work accounts.
