The beta versions of Symantec's new security software, Norton AntiVirus 2012 and Norton Internet Security 2012, are now available to Web users, according to PC Advisor.

BetaNews says new features include Norton's Safe Web, which will add safety ratings for each link in search engine results, and Norton Identity Safe, which can be used to manage passwords, fill forms and more. Also, the new version of Download Insight offers additional data about an app's safety before installing it.

Users can download the betas for free from Symantec's dedicated website.
