V3.co.uk reports that security experts say Internet service providers are showing little interest in cleaning up network traffic.

Part of the problem in the United States, says Raimund Genes, chief technology officer at Trend Micro, is that there is a deregulated market. Genes says ISPs will host malware because there is good money to be had. In addition, Genes says security companies have trouble getting law enforcement to shut down malware generators.

Experts say it's up to customers to request clean networks and there has to be an economic incentive.
