A new white paper from Varolii Corporation entitled Interactive Customer Connection Technology: Consumer Acceptance of Automated Communications looks at customers' attitudes towards pre-recorded and automated communication solutions.
According to the white paper, 51 percent of high value customers say an automated communication system would cause them to utilize more of the company's services, and 34 percent say their loyalty would increase with an automated communication system.
"Data shows that customers who have interacted with automated communications in the past overwhelmingly want to receive them in the future, and these communications are shown to have a significant and positive impact on customer loyalty, retention, likelihood to purchase, and overall brand equity," the white paper states.
