Selects Mitel Unified Communications Solution: Mitel, a leading provider of unified communications software solutions, today announced that Packaging Inc., a geographically distributed packaging and fastener supply company, has selected a Mitel communications solution to reduce conferencing and telephony equipment costs, improve productivity and simplify management.

Enventis to Deploy Cisco Unified Communications and Collaboration Throughout Park Nicollet Health Services: Enventis, a subsidiary of HickoryTech, today announced it has been selected by Park Nicollet Health Services to deploy a Cisco Unified Communications and collaboration solution across its business, including 19 clinics, the Methodist Hospital and the Park Nicollet Clinic campus. By migrating to a common infrastructure, customers can take advantage of additional applications as AT&T makes them available, such as unified communications capabilities.

CounterPath Corp., an award-winning provider of desktop and mobile VoIP software solutions, and NEC Unified Solutionstoday announced the introduction of NEC's Smart Mobile Client, a sophisticated solution for Fixed-Mobile Convergence that extends the functionality and capabilities of NEC communication servers to market-leading smartphones.

AltiGen Communications Announces Plans for CEO Transition: AltiGen Communications, the leading provider of integrated Microsoft-based unified communications solutions, has announcedthat effective Oct. 1,  Gilbert Hu will transition from his role as CEO to president of Asia Pacific to focus on accelerating the growth of AltiGen's business in that region. Hu will continue to lead AltiGen's board of directors as executive chairman. ShoreTel Survey Shows Ease of Use, Management Simplicity, and Reliability Among Top Priorities for IT Professionals: ShoreTel, the leading provider of IP phone systems with fully integrated unified communications, today announced the results of a survey of ShoreTel prospective customers that identifies the latest needs and priorities of CIOs and IT/telecom professionals when it comes to their communications system.
