RALEIGH, N.C., April 5 -- BizCom Web Services, Inc., a Microsoft(R) Gold Certified Partner, enhances its hosted Microsoft(R) Office Communications Server R2 service by adding Public Instant Messaging Connectivity and Instant Message Archiving.

BizCom's hosted Microsoft(R) Office Communications Server R2 service offers software-based VoIP, audio/video/web conferencing, secure instant messaging, presence indication and more. The addition of Public Instant Messaging Connectivity gives users the ability to communicate with others outside of their organization using AOL and Microsoft Live Instant Messaging services. Instant Message Archiving captures all IM communication and stores it within a tamper-proof centralized location for later retrieval, which ensures adherence to regulatory compliance and provides internal control over IM communications.

"Instant messaging has become an integral part of business operations. However, some companies have been reluctant to fully utilize the technology for fear of compromising internal security or because of various regulatory issues," says Don Rodger, Vice President of Technology at BizCom.
