LG-Ericsson USA to Serve SMB's Voice and Data Network Needs

Joint venture launches U.S. operations today.

"A networking joint venture formed out of a series of deals over the past several years is launching Monday in the U.S. under the name LG-Ericsson USA." writes IDGNew's Stephen Lawson on PCWorld Business Center.

"The new company brings together data LAN equipment from SMC Networks with enterprise telephony products from a South Korean venture between LG and Nortel Networks. Ericsson acquired Nortel's majority stake in that venture in June as part of the Canadian telecommunications vendor's breakup," Lawson writes.
