"Realtime Worlds is taking a unique approach to APB's voice chat. The massively multiplayer shooter will include in-game advertisements over the chat, which can be disabled for a fee," writes 1UP.com's Kat Bailey.

"Called 'VOIP Premium,' the service disables the adverts for 30, 90 or 180 days. It was discovered by a user on the official forums (via Massively), prompting a brief flurry of controversy," Bailey writes.
