SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., February 7, 2011 - Worldwide sales of IP phones picked up momentum in 2010, as the movement toward IP telephony systems continues. Within the business market, corded IP phones remain the standard, and will continue to dominate the enterprise IP phone market throughout the forecast period. New In-Stat (www.in-stat) research forecasts IP phone shipments, for both business and consumer, will exceed 40 million units in 2015.

"IP phones are enabling businesses and consumers to use their telephone system for more advanced communications," says Norm Bogen, VP Digital Entertainment. "These applications are more clearly understood in the enterprise space, where IP-based communication is replacing TDM networks at a steady pace."
