Research: More than Half of European Businesses to Deploy UC by 2012

Multichannel communications taking a firm hold, with many firms regularly using six or more communications modes.

"Fifty-eight percent of European organisations are deploying unified communications (UC) platforms and will complete the deployment by 2012, according to survey by the software and IT services firm Aspect," reports Computer Business Review (CBR).

"The survey into European organisations' attitudes towards multichannel communications and the likely impact of UC on business performance also revealed that 17 percent of the firms have already deployed the UC platforms, while 41 percent of survey respondents expect to deploy the platforms within the next 2 years." CBR reports.
