"The Apple iPhone has long been derided for not being able to make calls and the Line2 VoIP app was a godsend for those who wanted a consistent way to make voice calls. Well, this app has now landed on Android," writes IntoMobile blogger Marin.

"If you don’t know, the Line2 VoIP app lets you add another line to your device that lets you make calls or send text messages over WiFi, 3G or 4G. There’s a port-in feature which will let you switch your number over and the Android version features the ability to speak your text messages and have them be transcribed," Marin writes.
