UK hospital system saves big by switching to UC.
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals trust replaces outdated phone system, saves £300,000 annually.
"John Thornbury, director of ICT for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals trust, says the local NHS is saving £300,000 annually through replacing an outdated BT FeatureNet telephone service with a unified communications system from the same supplier," writes Guardian.co.uk's S.A. Mathieson.
"Thornbury said the savings were boosted through use of Microsoft Outlook, under the NHS's since-expired enterprise-wide agreement, and through the co-operation of BT," Mathieson writes.
