"SYDNEY, NSW: VTech’s new Avant 5000 cordless VoIP phone has become the first in the world to be certified through a new programme which tests audio quality and ensures “true to life” sound," writes Keri Algar on current.com.au.

"The Cordless Advanced Technology — internet and quality (CAT-iq) programme was developed in December last year by the DECT Forum primarily so that voices travelling via broadband sound more natural than they do via 3G mobile communication or the standard telephone network," Algar writes.
