Fonality Releases Hybrid Cloud/On-Premise UC Platform: Fonality, provider of a platform for delivering enterprise unified communications, has introduced a product update that combines the convenience of cloud computing with the control of on-premise UC. The company's Fonality PBXtra 5.2 combines phone, email and chat features, and makes it possible for users to transition from existing on-premise technology to more flexible and cost-effective cloud options.

Microsoft Tops New ABI Research Unified Communications Vendor Matrix Ranking Ahead of Cisco and IBM: Microsoft has been ranked at the top of the latest Vendor Matrix released by ABI Research. Cisco Systems and IBM Corporation claimed the second and third spots in the company's most recent evaluation of worldwide unified communications (UC) vendors.
