Actiance Teams with LinkedIn: Actiance, enabler of the safe and compliant use of unified communications, collaboration and Web 2.0, announced an agreement with LinkedIn, the world's largest professional social network, that gives Actiance access to LinkedIn's private API (application programming interface) to enable Actiance's customer base to leverage the expansive capabilities of LinkedIn while remaining compliant with key industry regulations. 

Tiverity Announces CloudSpeak, a Cloud-based Unified Communications Solution for Small- to Mid-size Businesses: Tiverity, an award-winning unified communications and contact center systems integration firm, has launched CloudSpeak, a cloud-based Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) offering for small- to mid-size businesses. CloudSpeak allows SMB organizations to have cutting-edge phone systems, telephony features, IM, presence and collaboration, much like the company's Fortune 500 counterparts. The foundation platform for CloudSpeak is the CommunicationsCloud, around which future services are being developed. Through this offering, customers are able to convert their legacy phone systems into modern communication and collaboration tools for a low monthly fee, eliminating the need for large upfront capital expenditures.

Ingate Releases Software Version 4.9: Ingate Systems, a leading provider of Enterprise Session Border Controllers (E-SBCs) that enable SIP communications such as SIP trunking and unified communications beyond the protected enterprise network, has added new tools and functionalities to simplify SIP trunk installations in software version 4.9, now available for all Ingate Firewall and Ingate SIParator E-SBCs.

Telstra Buys iVision to Boost Video and Unified Communications Capabilities: Telstra has purchased videoconferencing and collaboration company iVision, a move that it says will make it the number one provider of videoconferencing services in Australia, and one of the top three providers in Asia. Telstra CEO David Thodey said: "In the past three years there has been explosive growth in video across IP networks. Organisations are adopting richer formats of communication to work and collaborate more effectively, both internally and with their customers and partners."

M5 Networks Acquires Call Center Software Provider Callfinity: M5 Networks, a market leader in unified communications and hosted, managed VoIP, announced its acquisition of Callfinity, provider of innovative contact center software and one of the fastest-growing U.S. companies according to the Inc. 5000 list. The Callfinity acquisition will enable M5 to offer mid-size business clients access to advanced IP contact center technologies, which are growing in popularity and have traditionally been available as prohibitively expensive on-premise solutions. This expands M5's reach to businesses with high-end call center needs. In addition, M5 will be able to extend the benefits of contact center technology so that businesses can achieve a higher level of customer support throughout their organizations, not just in the contact centers.

Videocall Unveils Unified Communications Services Engine to Power Telepresence in the Cloud: Videocall, a leading immersive telepresence, videoconferencing and unified communications managed service provider and systems integrator has announced its cloud telepresence service empowering seamless access for users to Videocall's managed and hosted services for telepresence and videoconferencing.

Dialogic Joins the Microsoft Technology Center Alliance Program:  Dialogic Inc., a leading provider of communications technologies that power advanced networks and a Microsoft Gold OEM/Hardware Partner, has joined the Microsoft Technology Center Alliances Program. The Microsoft Technology Centers (MTCs) are collaborative environments that provide access to innovative technologies and world-class expertise, enabling customers to envision, design and deploy solutions to meet their exact needs. By joining the MTC Alliances Program, Dialogic is able to help Microsoft demonstrate the unified communications capabilities of Microsoft Lync Server 2010 utilizing the Dialogic 4000 Media Gateway Survivable Branch Appliances (DMG4000 SBAs). 

Chorus Call and Aethra.net Join Forces: Chorus Call Italia s.r.l., a subsidiary of Chorus Call Inc., a leading teleconference provider located in the United States with satellite offices throughout the world, has acquired controlling interest in Ae.net s.r.l. (Aethra.net), an Italian company that operates successfully in the remote collaboration and value-added services markets.

Managed Services Acquisition – Bear Data Buys LiquidIT: Say hello to managed services acquisition number 18 for 2011. This latest deal involves BEAR Data Solutions Inc. snapping up LiquidIT, an MSP based in Las Vegas. With headquarters in San Francisco, BEAR Data's offerings include virtualization, unified communications, networking, storage, staffing and managed services. The company said the LiquidIT buy will help it grow its portfolio of services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

Verteks Consulting Offers Advanced HD Video Communications: Verteks Consulting, a leading provider of unified communication solutions for business and government, announced new high-definition videoconferencing offerings and product enhancements from LifeSize Communications to help enterprises – including teleworkers, mobile employees and executives – collaborate more efficiently, with more robust deployment and management capabilities for IT administrators.
