Podcast: CDW Survey Shows Good News and Bad for Unified Communications
A survey by CDW suggests that unified communications is making slow progress. While full implementation has doubled among those surveyed, the total percentage of deployments remains mired in the mid-teens. Andy Dignan, the company's senior manager for unified communications, suggests that the increase is due to companies moving from partial to fuller deployments.

Andy Dignan, the company's senior manager for unified communications, told Unified Communications Edge's Carl Weinschenk that the increase may have been due to organizations finishing their base deployments – which generally are bread and butter applications such as VoIP or IM – and moving on to more fully implement unified communications products and services.
