Mobile cloud-based enterprise services will reach $39 billion worldwide annually by 2016, according to a study by Juniper Research. Dr. Windsor Holden, the author of the report, says that unified communications services will play a big role in that growth.

Holden told Unified Communications Edge's Carl Weinschenk that the industry is a unique point. Mobile devices are evolving quickly and growing exponentially in number, user demand is increasing and service providers are looking for new sources of revenue as traditional sources plateau.
