Cisco, NetApp and VMware have joined forces to release an end-to-end Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) offering for VMware virtual environments. The combined solution allows for the streamlining of data centers by reducing the number of cables and devices needed and driving automation, consolidation and virtualization, according to V3.co.uk.
The offering has completed the VMware Hardware Certification Program testing and all three companies will provide support, says PHONE+. It’s believed that the solution will aid customers in their move to the cloud as well.
