Dell inaugurated its new research and development center in Israel that will be used to develop cloud computing solutions and develop storage technologies, reports The Register. The center, headed up by Yossi Ben-Shoshan, formerly Exanet’s CTO and now Dell’s senior Enterprise Storage Business executive, is based on the company’s Exanet acquisition last year.
The inauguration is expected to be the catalyst of a major hiring campaign, says Globes. The R&D center currently employs 70, a number Dell plans to double by the end of the year.
