Brocade’s portfolio of ADC’s is led by their ADX platform, which provides a host of capabilities. The ADX can be used as an IPv6 gateway delivering NAT64 capabilities for applications. In NAT64 users can connect to IPv4 based applications over IPv6 based networks and vice versa.
The ADC is also a scriptable platform and can be used as a security control point for intrusion prevention and application security. The scripting is provided by way of a technology called OpenScript that leverages the open source Perl language.
The ADC market is a strong one for Brocade, in its first quarter fiscal 2012 earnings, Brocade CEO noted that the ADX platform revenues grew by 13 percent on a year-over-year basis.
