Gigabit over Ethernet (GbE) technologies enables enterprises to consolidate multiple 10 Gigabit links, reducing overall management and increasing bandwidth.
Sitting at the top end of the portfolio is the MLXe . The MLXe is Brocade’s core routing platform delivering as much as 15.36 terabits per second.
The MLXe has also been a key factor for Brocade in winning a large deployment deal with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) in 2011. In the HHMI deployment, there are 56 ports of 100GbE across multiple MLXe boxes.
On the more compact side is Brocade’s CER platform that is intended for Ethernet edge routing.
