The Praetorian Security Group says the Red Eye Crew, a group known for its regular attacks on Web sites, is responsible for defacing more than two dozen Congressional Web sites.

According to Computerworld, the attacks happened around the same time as Obama gave his first State of the Union address. Regular content was erased from the sites and replaced with a message coarsely expressing disapproval for U.S. President Barack Obama. The attacks seemed to mostly target Democrats.
