Enterprise network solution provider, Aruba Networks, has announced that the company’s application fingerprinting technology now optimizes voice over Wi-Fi calling with Research In Motion’s Mobile Voice System 5 (BlackBerry MVS 5). According to the company’s
news release on TMCNet, Aruba’s fingerprinting technology identifies latency-sensitive voice application traffic, and then conditions the Wi-Fi network to deliver it reliably.
“An enterprise unified communications solution, BlackBerry MVS 5 extends corporate phone systems to BlackBerry smartphones, while Aruba’s fingerprinting technology identifies latency-sensitive voice application traffic, and then conditions the Wi-Fi network to deliver it reliably.
“With BlackBerry MVS 5, business users can use their regular desk phone number and extension from their BlackBerry smartphone to make and receive enterprise phone calls. RIM officials said that calls can be made over cellular or Wi-Fi networks between a BlackBerry smartphone and the corporate phone system or private branch exchange.”
