Kapersky Dubs Dubai A DDos Magnet

Kapersky Lab’s Hosted and Streaming Technology Research department says Dubai ranks in the world’s top eight for frequent network security attacks. As reported on Gulf Jobs Market, with more businesses transferring operations online and it being a major commerce hub for the region, Dubai is becoming a magnet for network security dangers. DDos (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks primarily target websites focused on e-commerce, and are intended to disable or block a network’s access to the necessary services online.


“Around one third (30 percent) of the attacks are aimed at the exploitation of the vulnerabilities in MS08-067. The Kido worm issue is the most well known malware aimed at this target.
Moscow, Los Angeles and New York were also included in the top eight locations, rounded out by Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei/Taiwan and Harbin, China’s tenth largest “
