Network Security provider ArcSight Inc. will be Hewlett-Packard (HPQ)'s next acquisition according to eMoney Daily. Solving consumer issues such as digital fraud, hackers and viruses is the goal behind the buy. Radware, a provider of application delivery and network security solutions could be the next acquisition for HP.
“Hewlett-Packard has made a deal with ArcSight Inc., boosting shares by more than 3 percent. Soon after the company declared that it would purchase the security software maker ArcSight
Inc. for $1.5 billion, Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ)’s stock rose by more than 3
percent. Kaufman Bros. analyst, Shaw Wu who has a “Buy” rating on the company’s
stock, said that 'We frankly would like to see HP get more aggressive in
software.'"
